MoMo Kim is an artist who was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. She was educated in New York City and currently resides in Nha Trang, Vietnam. MoMo graduated with a BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in 2016 and was certified by Christie's Education in Modern Contemporary Art in 2017. She also holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Academy of Art University.

In her art world, MoMo breaks boundaries between Decorative art and Modernism in contemporary art. Often, MoMo's art is like an autobiography that portrays personal perspectives on the world we are now living in. Through works using various visual media, she aims to share the many facets of her everyday life.
Momo Kim used scenes at home that keeps her calm and reminds her of precious moments and turned it into art using her techniques and style. Her artwork not only functions as her safe of memories but also as represents her eager desire to keep her ordinary daily life intact.
The main patterns of our daily life are created and reproduced by combining pieces of the endless images that are readily available through the smartphone in our hands. Other than these creative activities, MoMo writes about her daily thoughts or create installations that reflect her life. Whenever she feels lonely, MoMo creates abstract or collage works using her favorite images.
Home Sweet Home
In Greek, a painter is known as "someone who draws everyday life". For many people, home is a place where personal history resides. All of the objects at home remembers moments in life and have contemporaneous characteristics. By recording these objects through art, the objects portrayed on canvas represent moments in daily life and functions as a memento, keeping the history behind safe. People often try their hardest to keep their daily life intact and even thrive just to have an ordinary life.
